The Watchdog with David Bozell
Donald Trump has always had razor-sharp instincts about the media. At his first press conference as President-Elect in 2017, he pointed straight at CNN’s Jim Acosta and declared, “Your organization is terrible. You’re Fake News.” He was exactly right about Acosta and CNN.
Now Acosta, jettisoned by CNN, has revealed his true colors on the “I’ve Had It” video podcast, hosted by the unhinged Jennifer Welch. She once attacked Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, calling her a “grifter” just like her “unrepentant, racist, homophobic husband.” Welch draws 1.5 million listeners to her venomous platform. The left loves hate.
Their conversation was pure derangement. Acosta joked about wanting to choke CBS’s new evening news anchor, Tony Dokoupil, targeted simply because he views him as too centrist and won’t tolerate any deviation from the far-left line. Welch compared ICE to ISIS. Acosta warned of bloodshed if Trump remains in power.
MRC captured the clips, posted our analysis online, and the response has been explosive: 132 million views and climbing — that’s more than one-third of the legal U.S. population. Top influencers shared it far and wide. Elon Musk posted our clip where Welch and Acosta demand mass prosecutions of Trump and every Republican as the key to “national reconciliation,” plus packing SCOTUS to finally jail Trump. Liberal tolerance at its best. Musk’s caption: “They mean it.”
I tossed my two cents in and commented on Musk's post: “These smug elitists want to jail us all, and import illegal immigrants to do their groceries and landscaping.”
Others who also shared our work included Sen. Mike Lee, Sen. Tim Sheehy, Stephen Miller, Tim Young, Jack Posobiec, Dean Cain, the Hodgetwins, and Joe Concha, among others.
This reach happens because influencers trust MRC. We serve as the wholesaler to the conservative movement, spreading truth organically across media like Fox News and Newsmax, the digital conservative ecosystem, and beyond.
Acosta was never an honest journalist. Like so many before him, once freed from the network perch, the mask slips, and what MRC has warned about for 39 years stands proven.
None of this happens without you. Your generous support is what powers our work every single day.
Take it easy,
David Bozell
