About the Organization

Biased, agenda-driven news and information are misleading people and driving division in the United States. The Media Research Center (MRC), a conservative nonprofit, has been studying and documenting media bias in newscasts since 1987 and works diligently to provide reliable, fact-driven information about the media because the American people deserve to be told the truth. In addition, the MRC is leading the fight to expose tech firm activities that suppress speech and lead a movement to force tech firms to uphold the principles of free speech.

The MRC fights media bias and social media censorship through our News Analysis Division, including NewsBusters, MRC Latino, MRC Business, and MRC Culture; an online news source, CNSNews.com; video commentary and analysis at MRCtv.org; and a comprehensive program to fight online censorship, Free Speech America. Our work is bolstered by a powerful marketing apparatus that generated over 449.6 million impressions each week in 2020.

MRC Culture

Sports Blogger
Part-time

Conservative Sports Fans!

MRC Culture is looking for FAST, dependable part-time bloggers to write on sports media coverage and document the leftwing bias prevalent in sports journalism. We specifically need people who can clip and edit video for use in blog posts about TV coverage – self –starters who can recognize lefty bias and agitation and act on it, creating a Newsbusters post with video within an hour.

If you’re the type who watches ESPN or pre-game shows, checks sports blogs and pages daily, this may be for you. If you can talk W.A.R. with the drunk in the jersey and cap at the end of the bar, this may be for you. If you do all that AND hate the politicization of sports in the era of Black Lives Matter and other wokeness, this is definitely for you.

We care about MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, PGA, NASCAR, Tennis, the Olympics. Recent sports topics we've covered: Tebow hatred, Kaepernick kneeling, Lebron James and NBA's BLM activism, Covid and MLB, Pay for NCAA athletes, National Anthem controversies, etc.

Entertainment TV Blogger

We need bloggers who are informed about current entertainment TV (whether it’s broadcast, basic and premium cable, or streaming) and keep up to date with social media and news about shows they monitor. This is a great fit for someone who's going to be watching TV anyway and has opinions about what they see. You know the power Hollywood has in changing our culture. You know exactly what they’re trying to do and you want to identify, expose and stop it.

Please also note any special subject expertise or experience (ex. military, guns, science, business/economics, education, religion, etc.)
  3. Resume
  4. Contact info for an editor you have submitted pieces to in the past
  5. Writing sample that shows off your conservative blogging talents in a way that will fit in with the MRC brand - definitely send one you've done on a TV show or other cultural/celebrity moment, if possible.
