Donta Smith
Donta Smith is a web developer and dedicated member of the MRC Development team. Born and raised in a Chesapeake, Va., Donta discovered his passion for technology at a young age. After completing high school, he attended Liberty University, where he studied Information Technology (IT) with a concentration in Data Networking and Security.
After graduation, Donta joined the MRC team as a web developer, where he plays a vital role in designing and maintaining the organization's websites, showcasing his expertise in marketing automation and customer relationship management.
Before becoming a full-time employee at MRC, Donta interned in the MRC IT department under the guidance of MRC Senior Network Engineer Miguel Leal, which allowed Donta to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Outside of his professional life, Donta is an avid sports enthusiast, particularly passionate about football and basketball. He follows the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Lakers. When he's not cheering on his favorite teams, he enjoys hiking, swimming, or binge-watching his favorite shows like Game of Thrones and Power Series. Donta also possesses a hidden talent as a drummer.
Donta comes from a large family with four brothers and two sisters.
His heroes include his parents, whose guidance and support have been paramount in his life. Additionally, he holds Denzel Washington in high regard.
Donta has achieved several notable accomplishments. At Liberty University, he won MVP on several intramural teams, showcasing his athletic prowess. However, his proudest accomplishment lies in obtaining and using his degree to build a successful career, ensuring that his parents' investment in his education was not in vain. His personal motto is “True success is measured by how many people you bless.”
