About the Role
The Media Research Center is seeking a Staff Writer/Researcher for its Business Department. The candidate will work researching outside foundations and their media ties, cover donors and their influence on politics and elections, monitor media and provide trend stories on business/economic issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze foundation grants and existing donor project material
- Provide regular content to the NewsBusters website
- Write other regular business news stories as needed
- Produce or contribute to longer research projects – including Soros Reports and ESG
- Monitor print and broadcast business media for trends tracking the news cycle and its reporting
- Appear in radio, TV or print to promote or comment on MRCB stories after being trained
- Produce some video either in person or from a TV clip to go with stories
- Attend newsmaker events in Washington, D.C. area pertinent to the MRCB mission
- Promote content on social media
Required Experience & Education:
- Strong news judgment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Deadline-oriented
- Multimedia skills or the desire to acquire them – embedding video and audio into stories
- Understanding of social media and willingness to learn more
- Must have passionate conservative convictions as well as a firm belief in free speech
