Director of the MRC Latino project

Lead the MRC’s efforts to engage with Spanish-language networks; identify and expose liberal bias in Spanish language media outlets, and deliver evidence of media bias through conservative Spanish media and English media. Should be capable of serving as bilingual spokesman on both radio and television. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Must have executive abilities to develop and implement an annual budget and plan and supervise a full time analyst as well as several freelance bloggers. The team will analyze and document findings for the MRC Latino page on the MRC’s blog; provide fresh material for the MRC Latino Facebook page and Twitter feed; and perform research and writing tasks for studies and a media guide featuring conservative experts who speak Spanish.

The MRC is located in Reston, Virginia, within walking distance of the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station on the Silver Line.

Required Experience & Education: 

In addition to being conversant in English, possess ability to understand and fluently communicate in Spanish so person in this position can track the content of Spanish language newscasts and be able to write reports on them, in both English and Spanish. Must be able to accurately transcribe and translate the content of Spanish language newscasts and to translate selected MRC posts in English into Spanish.
