People Mag Editor: ‘Impossible’ Not To Be ‘Elated’ For Obergefell

People magazine, like any good liberal media, raves over all things Obama, Hillary and LGBT. So, in July’s edition, there was bound to be a lot of celebratory rainbows.

Indeed, readers did not get further than page 6 before they encountered one. The letter from the editor — entitled “Love in America”—was completely dedicated to Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the Supreme Court’s recent gay marriage ruling. The editor was obviously thrilled for Obergefell, declaring that “wherever you stand on the issue, it was impossible not to feel elated” for him.

Next, on page 14, readers encountered a spread called “Celebs Show Their Pride,” featuring more colorful flags and LGBT movie stars celebrating the SCOTUS ruling.

Later on, the magazine ran a two page spread with the rainbow headline “Love Wins.” “Gay couples across the country rush to wed on June 26 after the U.S. Supreme Court rules same-sex marriages are a constitutional right,” the byline read.

Several ‘wedding’ stories were highlighted, including Obergefell’s. He was quoted to say: “It just felt so good to hear a Supreme Court justice talk about how our marriage [with deceased ‘husband’ John Arthur], our relationship, and relationships like ours deserve respect.”

Other photos featured an octogenarian gay couple kissing in the Dallas County Records Building, a young lesbian couple proudly displaying wedding rings and two middle aged women from Atlanta in pink bow ties and cummerbunds with hands raised in exultation. Quotes included “We are beyond blessed,” “It’s an unbelievable feeling,” and “I’m married, just like everyone else is married. I’m equal.”

Another column in the spread read “America Lights Up in Support,” and showed pictures of the White House, Empire State Building, Niagara Falls and other locations lit in rainbow hue.

The liberal media just loves highlighting happy homosexual couples, sweet stories and smiles, while painting pro-traditional marriage supporters as antiquated “haters.” So, since you won’t see it in the mainstream media, take a look at the reality: haters occupy the left.
